How I sold my couch to pay a bill, and ended up giving 300 women a job…
I am always someone who has a plan B. Yes, being a go-getter; I do push the envelope, as most do, however I am smart and calculated in my efforts. This time, I had pushed too far. I was at the end of the line, so much so, that the stack of bills on my entryway table, was too overwhelming to look at.
I am a woman of action, so I looked at my “resources” and what I had to work with, and literally it was the contents of my studio apartment. My parents had instilled the fear of god in me, about always having insurance, and I had a medical bill to pay, so I had to do the unthinkable.

I placed an ad on Craig’s list, and sold my couch for $375. This was by far one of the lowest moments in my life. I canceled the rest of my plans for the weekend, as I had no money, and I spent the weekend, tearfully in my apartment, trying to figure out what to do next.
By Sunday, with swollen eyes, and having exhausted the possibility of selling anything else, I decided to create a plan.
I have always been a big fan of the Vision Board, and the ability to attract in anything you desire. I scrounged up my change from every place in my apartment. I went to the local Wallgreens; and bought a poster board and some magazines. I came home and began to cut out pictures of everything I wanted in my life.
I had so much fun, and felt so fabulous looking at all of the great things I wanted to attract in. Then it hit me. This is my next step. I launched a business teaching women to training other women on how to create vision boards, using my “Remember Forward” technique and it teaches you to act as if you already have everything you desire in your life.

During this weekend that was one of the lowest of my life, I realized that there was such a lack of hope and inspiration in the world, and such an abundance of fabulous talent, so the Vision Board Party business created a solution for all of this.
Just a few months later, we have 20 reps that are up and running and teaching many others, and have goals to hire 280 more reps. Between now and the end of the year. It is so exciting, and it all came out of the fact that there was no other option.
One thing I know for sure, is that Vision Boards really work, and the satisfaction of helping women that are in a similar position I was, that weekend, is one of the greatest experiences I have ever had.
